Thanks guys... I've always liked to do research but I feel very discouraged and depressed and that makes it so I don't put real effort anymore. And I get mocked to for not going to a good college after hs. I went to a shitty community college for a couple of years and it was soul draining. The comments from friends and family didn't help either. Cousins went to NYU and Columbia and brother went to Cornell. I kinda want to go to NYU but I know I'm going to get rejected, should I take the SAT again? I don't even know what to do... I've always loved biology, I saved for a while to buy a decent microscope and I study mainly arthropods... But parents made fun of it, saying it was just a "Phase" or just a shitty "hobby"
