No, I'm not an expert. I was just looking into their method of construction without nails or pegs, and the way they made their bridges. Many of their buildings used trivially available materials to make structures which lasted a very long time. Whereas in the west it seems rapid building, and infrastructure / supply chain heavy construction was favored, depending on the era. In China you can just go and hack down some bamboo, make a fire and some steam, and then make furniture out of it. Their construction ranged from this to the more ornate.
