Hello /sci/. What's the best mathematics program for Android? My ideal would be something like a Ti-89 with one-button access to trig functions like sine.

Hey /sci/ can you help with calc?
Prof gave this as a challenge question im guessing....solve this limit

http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=lim+x-%3E1+%28sqrt%5B%28%28x%2B%281%2Fx%29%29%5E2%29-4%29%5D%2F
%28x%5E2-3x%2B2%29

No L'hopitals please.. and don't link wolfram alpha, I just did that.

The part that stumps me is how this can have different limits from both sides, is it similar to absolute values where you use one function if your approaching from the left or another if your approaching from the right?

Ok so here is the deal, i have to do a project for my numerical methods class, i have to solve a real life problem using what i know, the problem is that i cant imagine something to work on, so, if you have some ideas it would help a lot.
Thanks.

Dammit /sci/,

Never had failure fear. 2nd month in on Astronomy, and damn, I've got hella easy problems, but I just go "Wruaagh! What do I do?!", which makes me afraid I'll fail, which makes me go farther and farther down the spiral.

Any out there who've gone through the same? Did you give up, or try your best but still failed? Or did you overcome the obstacle like a pro and finished your study?

Pic very remotely related.
