If 1/0 is defined by the symbol [math]\infty[/math], and [math]+\infty=-\infty[/math],
Doesn't that mean that all divergent functions are convergent?

What would it take for a function to REALLY be divergent?

I don't get it. Why are +1 and -1 at the sides?
In order to unify the real projective line with the surreals, where [math]\pm \omega[/math] replaces [math]\pm\infty[/math] at the top, shouldn't [math]+ \sqrt{\omega}[/math] and [math]-\sqrt{\omega}[/math] be at the sides?
