Is it possible to be a newspace enthusiast these days without worshiping Musk like the fucking Jamestown Cult?

SpaceX fans have gotten so toxic that I can barely support the company anymore.

Are spaceplanes an inherent meme or can they actually be useful if done right?

IMO the shuttle was a massive turd because of the lack of abort system, stupidly fragile TPS tiles, and dependence on solid boosters with questionable pressure containment abilities.

I've been brainstorming an idea for a small 10 person spaceplane with variable-geometry wings and tail fins. At some point I'm going to post a shitty mspaint drawing outlining the idea.
