Why do Asians and Whites score higher on IQ tests than Blacks?

Is it because of culture and upbringing like the sociologists say or is it because of different natural environment leading to different comparative advantage when it comes to evolution?

Ok /sci/ explain this to me.

So, does /sci/ generally accept the fact that there are significant intelligence differences between races?

Summary of the most important findings:
-Intelligence is highly heritable. This bit isn't even really controversial and is accepted by most all psychologists that aren't quasi-sociologist types read: idiot lefty ideologues . Something between 40%-80%, with twin and adoption studies skewing towards higher numbers. A recent paper (not in this review) puts a pretty hard floor at 40-45% or so. Note I (and the authors) said FLOOR.
-There exists a significant IQ gap between racial groups. This is NOT disputable. The argument is over how much is genetic and how much is environmental. One side is saying it's 50/50 and the other is saying it's 100% environmental.
-MRI brain size comparisons follow the normal Black<Mestizo<White<Asian order
-Reaction time tests likewise follow this ordering. Reaction time is correlated with IQ, and obviously cannot contain cultural bias.
-Blacks in America outscore blacks in Africa by around 15 points, likely due to malnutrition and crushing poverty and all that.
-Shitloads of other stuff, just read the damn paper

Nope, Asian supremacist if anything. And definitely not that either. The existence of group differences doesn't discount the idea that you should treat people as individuals.

No. No. No. No. general intelligence as measured and understood by psychologists is a very solid predictor of virtually everything that matters, particularly on a group level. (Random errors cancel out) It's associated with crime rates, success in the workplace, likelihood of engaging in stupid behaviors, and virtually any metric you can think of in which "smarts" could plausibly influence outcomes.

Same objections I posted last night:

-A vit d deficiency have to be present in all blacks to the same degree to explain the nice shifting of the Black's IQ bell curve exactly one standard deviation left, while still maintaining its bell form. Y/N?

-Asians have more pigmented skin, yet they have higher IQs than Whites

-You suppose that the only difference between the races is pigmentation, which is not true.

I think you've got a good idea here to explain perhaps part of the reason why Blacks have lower IQs on average, but it's obviously not the only reason.

Seriously though, I understand criticism of the concept of IQ. How can intelligence be objectively measured. Nevertheless I realize that despite these flaws IQ is a meaningful measurement. To disregard IQ testing as worthless as long as blacks continue to score lower than other races is unscientific. It is religious. Why should a totally different group of people, who are different in so many ways, necessarily have the same brains as us. Wouldn't it be more surprising if their brains were exactly the same as ours? That doesn't make one race of people superior or inferior to the other. Just different.
