Hey, Anons who actually have a masters or phd. Can you tell us your field, what you personally do, and your opinion of your field/job?

I am trying to find out what actual Scientists/Engineers/Mathematicians really do instead of le meme articles saying "HEY CHECK OUT THIS FIELD CUZ MONEY 'insert vague description of stuff that doesn't even explain the field'". I am stuck between Physics, Chemistry, CE, EE, and ME. I know job advice is heavily discouraged, but /adv/ is only about relationship advice and /biz/ does the same shit.
