Alright Matrix theme for you. The fascinating part about the particle of life simulations are that they can get some pretty sophisticated results using finite computation by using the principle of wrapping to basically "curve spacetime" in on itself. Exactly as symbolized in this scene in the Matrix Trilogy where NEO gets trapped by the trainman in Mobil Avenue:

I think unconsciously or consciously the Matrix trilogy has a lot of symbolism in it that reveals the nature of simulated universes... and possibly our universe?
