I'm taking a masters in physics at a well regarded university for the subject, but I have never been on /sci/ before. What do you do here? And how educational would you say it is, on a scale of Richard Feynman to shitty references to the Big Bang Theory

how do I effectively memorize sequences of numbers read out loud once by others. (eg. phone numbers)?
i try to visualize them and memorize the image, but when there are more than 8 numbers or so it gets hard.
