Dumb physics question. Let's say you've got two different cylindrical bars. They're both the same weight, the same length, and made of the same metal. One is solid, while the other is hollow. The hollow one has a thicker diameter so that they're still the same weight and length. Which one is stiffer?

If logic is reasoned proof then why is it so hard for people to be logical? When looking back after the answer is solved it is always so obvious that it is correct because we can prove it with going backwards with logic but solving the question in the first place is a great challenge. Why do we not have a system for obvious logic going forwards rather than only backwards?

It's actually better than a language. It's like the proto-language.

Think of it this way when a word 'is', what is its property? Unity, correct? So the word already resembles a numerical property: one. Much like how you must put multiple letters together to form a sound, or syllable. Already I can tell you: language is just the expression of mathematics. So OP and most people actually have it backwards!

Pic related for OP. This is what he looks like IRL.

Let's RP for a second:
You're an admissions officer or something to that effect for a graduate program, an you've got a student performing superbly for the first two years of undergrad. They've got a 3.9 GPA for this period. Then during junior year they flunk out of a bunch of classes and just in general have an academic trainwreck. Two semesters back to back. Then they get their shit together and things are smooth sailing again.

What do you think of them? I'm asking because this is me, and I want to know if there's any point in trying in future classes beyond just passing.

Where exactly do I head if I want help with my homework?

Or, failing that, any advice regarding my college/university and my career path.

Las thing I want to do is discuss science and mathematics anymore, just please help me with my homework and figuring out my career path!

Hey sci
Guys I need advice, I'm 18 years old and currently in my last year of sixth form, currently I hate the subjects I'm doing which are mechanical engineering business and economics and they are truly the most boring subjects I've ever studied. I have a real passion for science that's really developed over the last year
Now I need help, I wanna get smart, I know hard work is the key but I want to get to a very high level in all 3 sciences and maths. So any advice especially regarding advance maths and science and any books that may help
Cheers

How did /sci/ choose its major, and moreover is there anyway to determine if you're intellectually adept to make it in a specific field of study? SAT test? IQ test?
