So why does this anon persist?
It's because misinformation is persistent and has a way of preserving itself.
Even in the face of obvious truthful facts lies can thrive. Why? Lies are enduring because a lie relies on nothing but itself to survive. While the truth relies on facts and information which can be lost, forgotten and misunderstood. Misinformation can outlive the truth in ways that we'll never predict. It is much more dangerous that we realize.
