Erdős Pál (Paul Erdős), a Hungarian mathematician who published more papers than any other mathematician in history, working with hundreds of collaborators. He worked on problems in combinatorics, graph theory, number theory, classical analysis, approximation theory, set theory, and probability theory.

He was also highly eccentric, not owning a house, only a suitcase and couch-surfing at his friends' places, whom he entertained by proposing interesting mathematical problems, and offering modest rewards for their solution.

His work was significant enough to warrant the introduction of the "Erdős Number", which is the degrees of separation from Erdős Pál when authoring a paper. Thus, someone who co-authored a paper with Erdős has a number of 1; someone who co-authored a paper with someone who worked with Erdős has a number of 2, and so on. It is used as a measure of achievement, pride and prestige in mathematical circles.

Image ever so related.
