>How fast does the ISS travel?
>The ISS travels at about 17,500 miles/28,000 kilometers per hour (8 km per second). At this speed, the ISS orbits the Earth every 90 minutes.

Let's say i'm on the ISS and i wanna launch a small vessel (10kg weight) solar sail powered into Mars. It should've been relatively cheap and easy but would take a lot of time till it get there, right? Or am i missing something?

Would it be possible to convert the ISS into an ion powered interplanetary spacecraft?
