Do lab work for team (mostly me doing everything), then write the whole lab report by myself. Make power point presentation along with script outlines for each group member. Spend month work on this large report/presentation. Send copies of everything to group members to keep them in the loop, along with my notes.

Wake up to angry voicemails from group members demanding I apologize for abandoning them. Come to find typo in syllabus, apparently the presentation was that earlier morning. So I was not there to give the presentation there with them. Rush over to apologize to the team and professor, I did honestly feel guilty, although I did do 90% of the work. Professor says it is not a problem given how I had done everything else.

Months later during finals week I get an email saying I was going to fail as I didn't complete my first lab project. Run over to professor and explain what had happened and how he had told me not to worry about it and how even with me missing the presentation I should not get a 0% for the whole project. Says I will get 0% unless I do an alternative project, which is even harder then the first. I thank him for the opportunity and get to work compressing weeks worth of work into hours. I even skip some of my other finals in classes I was doing well in, better to get a two B and a C, then two A and an F, especially when that F is in a prerequisite class. I somehow get it done, I run full speed to his office to drop it off at 4:00pm the last day. I see him walking away from his office. Too late he tells me grade book closed at 4:00pm and he already locked up. I collapses in crying in the hallway as this ruins so many things in my life, he walks off as if I wasn't there. This F means I would lose my scholarships, I would have to wait another year to take this required class again, Dad said if I got another F he would disown me (and he did).

Later come to find out grade books close at 5:00pm. I hate that monster that looks like a man.
