When does /sci/ think that human enhancement will become scientifically and politically possible?

Can synthetic tissue interface with actual tissue easily? Can a body outright refuse an artificial limb/organ?

Scientist wannabe over here, considering the possibility of advanced prosthetic limbs like in the video game series Deus Ex. Think it's possible? Anyone got some theories?

We need to transcend the flesh, to become gods of our own creation. Technology is apart of us, and we will be apart of our technology. We are what we create, the products of our minds shall become the fabric of reality. Our imaginations will impose themselves on the material of reality itself. You cannot stop us, you cannot stop the future. The universe is our playground.

It's not just religious people though. Often hardcore nature lovers will decry genetic engineering, essentially as "Playing Gaia." i hate it when people believe that nature is perfect and we should never try to mess with it.

And my field is only going to get better.
