Can synthetic tissue interface with actual tissue easily? Can a body outright refuse an artificial limb/organ?

Please disregard the obvious "let's sell more books by being inflammatory and sexist!" tactic and focus more on the devolution aspect. I find this thought provoking, this is why we need merge ourselves with the machines gents.

We need to transcend the flesh, to become gods of our own creation. Technology is apart of us, and we will be apart of our technology. We are what we create, the products of our minds shall become the fabric of reality. Our imaginations will impose themselves on the material of reality itself. You cannot stop us, you cannot stop the future. The universe is our playground.

It's not just religious people though. Often hardcore nature lovers will decry genetic engineering, essentially as "Playing Gaia." i hate it when people believe that nature is perfect and we should never try to mess with it.

Are we going to have this stuff by 2025?
My opinion: augments-yes, cool holograms-yes, two-tiered cities-maybe dubai, but probably no.
