/pol/ here, checking in to ask what are the prospects for artificial wombs? Will they arrive in time to prevent the extinction of the white race?

1. The most advanced technology would be a true artificial uterus, but that's certainly a long way off. There are too many hormones and biological functions for a machine to simulate.

2. The next best option would be to grow a human uterus and maintain it on life support. Do you think it would be possible to grow a human uterus in a cow?

3. Failing at that, the last resort would be interspecific pregnancy. The best hosts for this would be close relatives like chimpanzees and possibly also gorillas. Interspecific pregnancy has a high miscarriage rate due to immune rejection, and it results in premature births, but it is commonly used for other species nonetheless, and will almost certainly work for humans.

4. Alongside the difficulties with finding a suitable womb, the other big challenge is creating artificial eggs. Eggs can be created from embryonic stem cells and from ovarian stem cells. They have a high rate of genetic abnormalities, and so they will require a lot of screening to filter out the bad eggs. What is still needed is a way to make eggs from adult male stem cells. Eggs can be obtained from women, but what is really needed are technologies to enable men to reproduce without women.

Is it possible (given today's technology) to create a completely male society?! And if so, what would be the implications of it?

Artificial wombs when?

Is it possible and legal to buy an egg, fertilize it through IVF, and pay a surrogate to carry it to term?

Imagine if you could just buy a baby.

What if a someone with enough money made 100, using only the highest quality eggs, and payed for a fleet of only the best nannies and teachers to guide their development? You could make more than 1,000 with enough cash, and run them through your program, using whatever curriculum you desire if homeschooling is legal where you do it. You could encourage kin-centrism and familial loyalty and create a dynasty, or alternatively discourage it and encourage a less kin-centric perspective. And as genetic engineering improves you'll be able to optimize for whatever traits you wanted through both education and modification.

The problem of a dynasty is simply solvable by a limit on the number of children you can create.

What is clear is that all bioethicists should be thrown into the ocean. The damn philosophers just want to be the new priests. That the pulpit position of bioethicist exists at all is an outrage. They just want to be the barrier to bribe. The parasitic position must be abolished.

So the problem is once again sexual reproduction being too chaotic and unreliable.

Really we should be working to make sexual reproduction obsolete. It's too chaotic and allows for too much to get out of hand. We should literally build people from the best parts and gestate them under optimal conditions. This way we can control for those right conditions and have an Einstein 99.9999% of every time.

The consequences are not equal, like you seem to imply, for the simple fact that maternity is unquestionnable.
A man cheating results in drama and nothing more. A woman cheating results in nihilism, the end of her mate's bloodline.

This is like comparing rape and murder. Both are heinous crimes, but murder is obviously worse by several orders of magnitude.
