Also, we need gun rights and self-defense rights to defend from violent morons. Almost all crimes committed with firearms are committed with hand guns, yet leftists always talk about banning AR-15s. They ultimately want to ban all guns, but they need to start somewhere. No other weapons are as good for self-defense as firearms. When the modern revolver first came out in the 1830s, it was advertised as the best thing you could have for evening the playing field in a conflict, since even an old grandma was able to defend herself from a violent dumbass. The revolver even allowed her to miss a few times.
