Hey /sci/, help me understand why the following doesn't work:

(x-1)(x-2) < 0
(x-1)(x-2) / (x-1) < 0 / (x-1)
x-2 < 0
x-2+2 < 0+2
x < 2

(x-1)(x-2) < 0
(x-1)(x-2) / (x-2) < 0 / (x-2)
x-1 < 0
x-1+1 < 0+1
x < 1

How do you go from (x-1)(x-2) < 0 to 1 < x < 2 ????
