How do people do bathelor dissertations/theses? It seems to be emphasised as a time of independent research but a lot of the stuff seems to be way too advanced for me.

I mean wtf, my adviser offered me the chance to do a project on completely programming a molecular level simulation (a bunch of balls with properties + inbuilt physics). He said people who've never coded have done it before?

How the fuck do people even do this?

Sorry if I seem 100 % clueless. It's just that I have no idea what a bachelor's research project consists of, how much original I'm meant to come up with. All I know is that I'll spend an entire term on it
