>>4446005 If adding heat turns a liquid into a gas,

It doesn't. If the pressure in the liquid is high enough to overcome the ambient pressure the liquid will expand to dissipate the excess energy caused by the pressure difference. When expanded enough the strain in the bonds holding the liquid together gets too high and it turns to gas.

Hello all. I have a math exam tomorrow and was going over some problems in my book to practice for it, but I am stuck on one and was hoping someone could help me out. The problem reads...

"Suppose you want to install carpet in a room that measures 18 feet by 22 feet. The carpet you want cost $28.50 per square yard and comes only in rolls that are 12 feet wide (and at least 100 feet long). If you allow only one seam (where two pieces of carpet meet), what is the most efficient way to lay the carpet and how much will the carpet cost?"

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I suck and math and am looost.

Well excuse me I can have both interests ;_;

It's just that designing current spacecraft would texture me to *gasp* use textures, for far future spacecraft I can just apply a universal diamondoid pearly white and get over it.

I have to draw a venn diagram and can't figure it out. Could someone tell me what to label my 3 sections?

"All hairy animals are mammals. No mammals are fish. Some mammals can swim. No fish can walk on land.

Questions: Could there be hairy fish? Could there be hairy animals that swim? Could there be walking mammals? Could there be hairy animals that walk on land?"

Thanks in advance. REALLY need some help on this one.

More misunderstandings about quantum theory

First, two things I want to make sure of:

1) The expansion of the universe is accelerating.

2) Hawking radiation happens because a temporary quantum pair was seperated at the edge of a black hole with one particle having been annhilated in the hole and the other flying off into space. (very rough approximation of what i thought i had heard)

So, the question is, at what point, if any, does the expansion of space time begin seperating these pairs everywhere? And, if this happens, what happens when that happens?

Why can't theists provide any proof against an Anti-God entity that stands ready to annhilate any God entity upon coming into existence?
