Continue building industry and fossil fuel economy and ignore global warming fears. I'm not saying global warming isn't real. I'm just saying that humanity tends to advance the most when there is chaos. The world wars gave us penicillin, mass production of products, and invaluable advancements in Aviation, Submarines etc etc… Cold war fears gave us the internet and other neat stuff too. There will be more incentive to develop green technology if the danger is perceived and can't be denied or ignored. All of these advancements are from us fearing each other, imagine all the neat stuff that will show up when we're scared of mother nature.
