I honestly love /sci/ in its current state. Sure, the shitposting is annoying but it's so funny to watch you guys go at each other and call each other retards. I think there's a nice balance of stupid humor and somewhat intellectual conversation. You have to remember that although this is a science board we are on 4chan after all.

Never change, /sci/.

What's up /sci/ is there a such thing as superposition of states? As in the unknown state of Schroedinger's Cat is two states in superposition

Simple question, i wish to master mathematics, in what order do i do so?(in what pattern do i learn the various facets) assuming one is past the basics of addition, subtraction, and simple division and multiplication
>ex.calc1,alg1,linear alg....

Slightly harder, is a similar progression of the sciences possible?

ok sweet. So far I've covered electromagnetic fields, light waves (with some other EMR as well), momentum, and some basic atomic physics during high school. Some of the coulombs law I can understand and a few of the others, but it just seems like a more in depth understanding of what I'm currently taking in high school. Is that generally what physics 1 is?

I was thinking of studying some math over the summer so that I can get better. I've taken calc 1 already at a high school level, should I just start working on Stewart's single variable calc textbook?

Thank you, I have taken organic chemistry classes already, as well as microbiology. Maybe I'm ready for some med school type topics. Anyone know of some specific intro to med school topics that I can study on my own, I would rather not take classes for this, I'm just learning for my own interest.

Hey guys, I'm struggling with my Statistics homework, and I was wondering if I could just get a bit of help. (I've always been more of an Algebra/Calculus kind of math guy). The problem is as follows.

The purpose of this assignment is to perform a statistical hypothesis test based upon data that you collected. More specifically, you are to collect numeric data (responses from people) from 2 populations to test the null hypothesis of equality of means using the independent samples t-test. Turn in this document (posted on MyStatLab) with your solutions in the spaces provided. Type whenever possible. For your hypothesis tests, use alpha =.05. Choose a topic of interest to you if possible.

a) Describe the populations of interest and their means.

b) In a few sentences describe how you will collect the data. Note that the sample sizes should be 10 or more and do not have to be equal.

c) Set up an appropriate alternative hypothesis reflecting your feeling concerning the relationship between the means. Give the null and alternative hypothesis here.

d) Using Excel, test for equality of variances (Do steps 0-5 of the p-value approach). Paste the Excel output and the actual data below.

I'll dump a comic until y'all can help, and after I get help I'll post the mediafire links for the comic and others, too.

Greetings, /sci/.
I've been searching for a C/C++ IDE and I found Dev-C++. But I'm curious about which download link I must select; the one with MinGW32 4.7.0 or with TDM-GCC x64 4.6.1.

Source: http://orwelldevcpp.blogspot.mx/

Also, what do they mean?
Thanks in advance, /sci/.

Pic not related.

Yes its probably a troll question but is fapping good or bad for you? on one hand it is supposed to relive stress, stimulate the brain, help ease pain, as well as other supposed health effects, on the other hand people who claim to stop says it does wonders for motivation and other things. what says /sci?

So guise I've been wondering
If you have a function, and it's counterdomain includes i
how would that be represented? would the y axis be a plane, instead of a line?
And if you wanted to separate the imaginary part, wouldn't you end up having kind of a i^2n? thus -n?
