Well, it's possible, but there are thousands of things that need to happen to make space travel on those distances work.

You need some way to overcome the distance in a reasonable time -- it takes 7 years at our current tech to to reach Jupiter and 20 at lightspeed to reach Gilse. Without a near lightspeed engine or a wormhole, you really aren't leaving the solar sytem.

You need a way to carry enough food, atmosphere and water to travel said distances.

You need atmosphere holding space suits and a way to counter gravity of it's not right for you.

You need a way to keep the astronaut's body from atrophying to nothing.

You need something with a heat shield to allow atmospheric entry.

It's not a weekend getaway. Not impossible, esp. if they have a couple of thousand years on us, but the amount of time and energy required would probably mean not going too far beyond the local system.

>Explain to dad what cancer is and causes of it
>He assumes everything is dangerous and takes irrational precautions like putting vinegar in a room and saying it takes out the cancer and an onion in the room takes out the cancer.
>Tells him that he has no reasoning and that they do nothing to decrease anyone's chances of cancer.
>He yells at me for hours about how stupid I am
>Facepalm when I see a bag of onions in the bathroom
-
>Dad has stuffy nose and headache.
>Tells him it's because of the pollen, which is high today.
>Explain what pollen is
>Dad wants me to wash his car because there's pollen on it.
>Decides to just wash it because I just can't ever win

Why can't certain people understand science?!
