>Thought experiment

What if, in the double slit experiment, instead of projecting the photons onto a surface, we plotted it in 3D.

Analogue vs Digital Signal
Analogue is the continual stream you are thinking of.

Transistors and Logic gates
Requires a binary description

Can an analogue signal hold information and work as memory? It would require a waveform to be streamed in a loop until something listens in, uses information and then change the waveform to represent new information. Very volatile way of storing information. Power failure means you lose your signal and all information if you are intent on not having a hardcopy.

I have a confusing homework problem for my electronics engineering class. It's about Digital to Analog conversion:

"A 4-bit DAC has failed in such a way that the MSB is stuck in the 1 state. Draw the
analog output (piecewise constant) when a straight binary sequence (digital ramp) is applied to the inputs."

Basically, is the MSB (=1) a part of the digital ramp input? i can't find anything helpful in teh lecture notes.

it has no edges the signal is analog (continuous)
at least if it's in the range of the microphone

your sound card then digitizes the received analog signal to usually 44 khz digital

the sound wave and the electrical wave look exactly the same when they are analog
and the digital looks rigid
pic related
