I've been wondering how high school mathematics in the UK compares to the USA.

e.g. in the UK probably the most complex stuff you would do (excluding STEP) is some group theory (isomorphisms, subgroups, etc.), cross product of vectors, second order differential equations, Newton-Raphson, hyperbolic functions, de Moivre's theorem, roots of unity, polar coordinates, etc. (This only includes the pure maths stuff, there's plenty of stats and mechanics you can do too)

How would this compare to an American high school syllabus?
