Just don't be a little bitch. Start documenting all correspondence and don't do it yourself. Have a journalist do it, as investigative journalists have experience they won't get scared and will know all the tricks, the guilty parties do. Don't do anything, I mean anything that academia might tell you to, without consulting with a journalist, so you don't get played. Just grow a pair and go to war.
