The first world is just as vulnerable to climate change as the 3rd world. However we are vulnerable in a different way, since our infrastructure has practically 0 resilience to extreme weather events. Ironically 3rdies being less developed works in their favor, since you can build mud huts in a matter of weeks vs years.
