>get paid slave wage to do “research” that is probably meaningless
>spend months writing thesis maybe a dozen people will ever read
>still have to get a post-doc, still getting shit wage
>finally get a decent job in early 30s
>spend rest of your life teaching elementary calculus to unmotivated undergrads. If not, doing a job in industry or national labs an engineer could do

Why do so many people choose to go for a PhD when it is so obviously a terrible idea? And why is academia so full of bullshit?

NOAA and NASA, which is the direct source of his data, claims that due to a data collection problem in the 20th century they are justified in altering the data. They also claim changing latitude as a justification. In the video Tony shows why this is bullshit and how the actual data shows a slight cooling trend over the 20th century.
