high calorie foods are good, especially for children, babies are suppose to be chubby rather than malnourished. people are supposed to mature later in life and gain some measure of self control. the whole idea of low calorie being a selling point for food only popped up relatively recently, 100 years ago high calorie was a selling point for food and beverage items.
the real issue is sedentary lifestyles.
