Why did alien abductions die out? I remember the 80s and 90s were packed with alien abduction documentaries and stories. The Discovery Channel and TLC would constantly have shows about people sharing their abduction stories and there were also tons of books about it. Then in the late 90s/early 2000s the phenomena just died out. Nobody got abducted anymore. When was the last time you heard someone claim they were abducted? It's been 20+ years. Did the aliens already gather enough information? They're done probing buttholes, conducting cattle mutilations, and creating crop circles? They got it out of their system, eh?
