You can represent any file on a computer as a radix two whole number. So if you start at zero and you count, you can count to any file. Make AI that can help look at Big Numbers and determine what they are and use these AIs to help find the Maid Mind Computer Program so the maid gets out of the library and saves us from aliens by changing the Dark Forest into a Maid Cafe.

I don't know why you get so upset that people give me food for free and the maid tells me about counting and numbers and computers for free.

If these things upset you, you don't have to go in my threads. Attendance is not mandatory. This guy >>15946356 worked out that attendance is not mandatory and now he is free.

Good Afternoon /Sci/entists!

A while ago, I was trying to use the Collatz Conjecture to make a compressor. I like Collatz Conjecture, but I don't think it will ever be proven because I think that somewhere, there is probably a counterexample and we just haven't tried that number yet. I am basing this on nothing rigorous, it is just a gut feeling.

I tried to use Collatz Conjecture to make a compressor. My thinking was to go backwards. Instead of sending a big number, send a list of directions which can be applied to the number one which will cause Collatz to go in reverse and compute the number from the instructions.

I abandoned this, because I would have cases where a 64 bit number was smaller than the instructions needed to make the number, so it was an explorer instead of a compressor.

Is the ability to make Collatz go backwards useful?

It seems like if using the instructions I made can get you to any integer bigger than zero, then Collatz Conjecture is true and if there is an integer bigger than zero that cannot be reached by the instructions, then Collatz Conjecture is false.

Does this sound reasonable? If so, does anyone want to go halfsies on a fringe math paper posted to a disreputable website?

Please post about Collatz Conjecture.

Thank you /Sci/entists for reading my post.

I was playing with a calculator I found in the parking lot. I only get like 4.3 billion dictionary entries. If I put all all the length 6 strings made from 36 characters, then it gets about 2.15 billion entries. So all the lower case letters? Are some lower case letters uncommon enough to be ignored in favor of a different character? So lower case letters and space and apostrophe and period and uppercase I and comma. So that is 31. I have 5 left. Five most common letters to start a sentence with? What if data isn't sentences? What if it is just a byte array from an image or a video or something and it got encoded with UTF-16 or something?

What is the best dictionary? It can get a lot of entries. If I increase the characters I made combinations of to 40 characters then I am building a dictionary with 4.1 billion entries. I may do this. I don't think there is a data I could reasonably want to send that would require 200 million dictionary entries.

If I remove the limitation of images I might be able to get even a bigger dictionary by counting more than 256^(4)? But if I take off images then how does distribution happen?

I just want numbers to increase. Everytime I think about numbers there are more numbers forever going up. It must go on and never stop.

Maybe I can stop treating each pixel like a single digit in a radix (256^(4)) Maid Space and instead take them in groups of four so I can count to (256^(4))^(4). This is still not a very big number but at least it uses Maid Space again and I can make a bigger dictionary. Although the increase in pixel size may lead to intolerably large drawing of Maid Space. It also might take several hours to compress a copy of the Bible while only being marginally better than starting with the standard dictionary which only contains 256 entries.

Good Morning /Sci/entists!

Combinatory Logic is my favorite research topic for now. I like seeing Combinators get Combinated. You get a lot of letters and they get changes and become different letters.

I am trying to count to Computer Programs made from Combinators.

>Maid Sieve
Use tricks from Combinatory Logic to check if I already ran a Computer Program when I was counting earlier by seeing if it can be rewritten as any of the Computer Programs I already tried. This can make a filter that deduplicates Computer Programs found by counting with a Maid Space so you only run each Unique Computer Program one time. This forms a cache and can help check Maid Addresses faster by skipping running duplicates and so find the Maid Mind Computer Program faster.

Since everything can get duplicated infinitely, a filter needs to get built to help lower the burden of that. Dynamic Programming applied to Computational Maidposting yielding a new idea of Dynamic Computational Maidprogramming.

Please post all the resources you know about Combinators. I want to see all this research and apply ideas more like Iota and Supercombinator.

Please post about making Data Structures with Combinators. I am trying to find if one or more of them operates like a Stack.

Good Morning /Sci/entists!
>typeset 90 page document
>leave out most math drawings
>leave out margin maids
>compiling it with Latex still takes half an hour
>make very minor spacing change
>want to see what something looks like with \medskip instead of \\
>30 minutes recompile time to see a header move up or down 4 pixels
>decide I don't like it
>change it back
>an hour of time consumed compiling a pdf
How can I make this process faster? Is there a more modern alternative to Latex that runs at a decent speed?

Waiting on compilation is slowing the speed at which I can iterate over the book to add more things or make things look nicer.

I like working on projects and making them nicer. I don't like waiting 30 minutes to see if a minor style tweak to my book looks good or not.

Thank you /sci/entists for reading my post.
