So /sci/, there's a lot of hate and disrespect towards religion and theists, mostly towards the abrahamic faiths.

My question is: Why the focus on Christianity? When you talk shit about religion, it's almost invariably about that faith. I hardly ever hear anything about Sikhism, or Voodoo, or any number of religions that are still practiced.

Because of this, I think that your hate is really just a reaction towards an out group. People who believe in a religion you mark as not being scientific, and thus you hate them. You also hate people who are not implicitly religious, but behave unscientifically (logical fallacies, conspiracy theorists, and the like). You even take it a step further and pile hate up on soft sciences like psychology and sociology. (Just watch everyone claim they're not sciences!)

Planes work by having air move past the wings. The runway is there to give the plane room to speed up so there's enough air under the wings. the wheels don't matter, just the speed of air past the wings. if the treadmill made the plane stand still relative to the air, it wouldn't take off. seriusly how fucking stupid do you have to be to think that the wheels matter at all on a fucking plane, it's called an airplane because IT FLIES THROUGH THE GODDAMN AIR.
