JWST was supposed to have completed it's estimated 5 years of useful life expectancy a decade ago, but instead of that you got diversity, you got jew'd hard

NASA is crippled by the fact that JWST is more than 3000% over budget and 14 years behind schedule. They don't have infinite manpower at NASA, theres a limited number people who can work on those projects and JWST has doubled it's staff recently because they're trying to rush to make the June deadline for the October launch even though they already know that they have no shot in hell at making it.
If they would just cancel JWST then they could devote the resources necessary to make other projects work, but as it stands right now JWST is sucking all the wind out of everyone else's sails.

The 26 year, 15.4 billion boondoggle is finally over, JWST was quietly canceled amongst all the hullabaloo and big announcements of the past couple weeks, but if you look at the JWST status page, it looks like they must've ceased working on the project in October.

>As of now, the launch of the JWST is scheduled for March of 2021. However, that launch date is expected to be delayed.
That means they'll have to increase the budget by another couple billion dollars, but who cares if its not your money. The government can just print itself more cash whenever it wants to anyway.

ppl been saying "It would be silly to give up now." since about 2002 or so when the project was only 400% or so over budget. since then they've spend like $10 billion more trying not to appear silly.
ppl who work for nasa are silly people, they don't produce anything of value, but they all seem to think that they're the world's most important geniuses for some reason.
someone that grows corn in a flyover or works on a production line making useful goods is considered a total moron by he geniuses at nasa who produce nothing of any value, why on earth is it such a massive shame if nasa ends up looking silly?
its a bigger shame to waste more money on those losers

>the launch date has remained constant since 2018
the chart here says that the launch date was pushed back to 2019 in 2017 and that the previous launch date was 2018. subsequently in 2018 the launch date was pushed back to 2020, but its been pushed back to 2021 since then so when you say that
>the launch date has remained constant since 2018
its clearly because you're either ill informed and don't have a clue about the reality of the situation so you're just spouting off whatever self-serving bullshit felt best to you at the moment when you were posting because you enjoy the dopamine rush that npcs get from acting officious on an anonymous imagebaord or that you're purposefully and knowingly circulating falsehoods for some nefarious purpose. neither option leaves you looking very good, what do you have to say to that?

How come they don't post the list of future due dates anywhere?
Wheres the big list of all the other stuff that they're planning on accomplishing between now and the launch date next year?

Reminder that NASA tried to use solid helium as coolant for NICMOS, failed badly and spend over $2 billion dollars on the fix, all because they didn't ground test the instrument.
those are the same people who launched HST with a faulty primary mirror and spend $2 billion dollars on the fix
its also the same group currently working on JWST
