Guys. Flatland.

If Flatland was truly a truly two-dimensional surface, then surely the inhabitants would see the floor all around them, rather than seeing each other? If this is so, then the very idea of Flatland is fundamentally unsound, and thus can't be used to illustrate the concept of a finite yet unbounded universe amirite?
