I was using Cartesian coordinates as an example of a quantified object/point/whatever. So since you're so bright why don't you tell me what necessitates determining "how many dimensions we're in".

It's a misunderstanding. I'm saying that measurements are irrelevant because there is no standard of measure, it's made up as we go along. He's off on a tangent about some irrelevant point about coordinates or something.
