i really enjoyed Frankenstein, it's one of the earliest sci-fi books in existence and is a riveting tale of man vs nature, plaing God etc. Although the prose is dated it's still an easy read and i found it very interesting to look at the role women play within the novel and the underlying themes of possible homosexuality.

have fun with it it's one of my favourite books.

My sister believes in all sorts of dumb shit, and also loves to pointlessly argue about it, so whenever we're both back home, I'm treated to "Science doesn't know everything" and "Science is corrupt" in an attempt to validate (mostly) alternative medicine, Meridian Energy, acupuncture, microwaved food being carcinogenic, and the idea that the human mind is so strong, it can literally, physically destroy the body just by thinking about it. This last one is based, I believe, on a stage show she once saw, where some sort of hypnotist convinced an audience member that a coin he was holding was burning hot, whereupon the audience member apparently dropped the coin, revealing that he had actually developed burn wounds and blisters.

My sister is 43 years old, by the way.
