Why do you blindly accept Darwinism?

Why do people still think this? Is it because of this shitty image? Nobody should believe that evolution has anything to do with apes becoming humans or vice-versa. That's some shit I thought when I was like 6 before my parents corrected me and gave me a proper explanation and reading source (since the original source I got it from was from some creatonalist pamphlet that pretty much used "WHY DO MONKEYS STILL EXIST IF WE CAME FROM THEM?! GOTCHA~!" as the cover).

I don't care what the hell people chose to believe, but I'm just dumbfounded by how widespread the false notion that evolution is about monkeys turning into humans is.

How long do you think it's going to be before the theory of evolution is disproven as the origin of homo sapiens?

Hey /sci/. Just a few minutes ago I was having a debate with me about evolution. He said he doesn't believe it. lolwat? I ask him what, then, brought about the rise of the human race and he says that he doesn't know. Ok....He then asks me how ants (who have been longer on Earth than humans) did not "evolve". I said that they DID and they fit into the environment. I asked him about Galapagos finches, our genes to grow tails like the chimpanzees being deactivated, and artificial selection....he remained unmoved. I have not done much of evolution and I just know the basic facts such as natural selection, geographic isolation, and the fact that evolution leads to species to adapt to their environment. Now if some of you geniuses could tell me, what was the "motive" behind our rapid evolution i.e. why are we so ahead in a short time? Also, is 'Lucy' fake? How does evolution really work (just need to confirm my facts) and how did the human species come into being?

I find it hard to believe that humans evolved over only 4.6 billion years. It just seems way way more complicated than that. Is there something we're missing?

How can I troll the evangelical christfaggots in my Biology class? We are in the evolution section and they are trying to get us all to go to the "Answers in Genesis" website.
