hey /sci/ wtf is that?

The program is Octave.
That was what i did:

x=linspace(-100, 100)
y=log(sin(x))

first, i made the right draw with plot(x, y)

then, just because i'm a curious newbie I did it:
plot(y)
and so this picture.

what the axis are supposed to be to make any sense?
