Some things can not be explained by science. Take for example, rainbows. Rainbows are a mystery and you can not touch them, just like god. Despite this fact, they are still there even though there is no scientific explanation for them. So next time you find yourself doubting your faith, think of god as a rainbow. I know that this can be a difficult concept for some of you to grasp. It is just like air you can't see it but you know its there

Hey /sci/.

So a rainbow contains UV and IR light even though we can't see them because they exist in sunlight and a prism splits light into it's component wavelengths.

What about X-rays, Gamma-rays, and all those other wavelengths of EMF the sun shines at us. Are there invisible bands of them in rainbows too?

Is it possible to get to the end of the rainbow?

Guys, Guys, what the fuck is up with rainbows!? I just noticed something weird.

The colour pattern goes IR-Red->Orange->Yellow->Green->Blue-Violet-UV.

So if I mix red light with yellow light I get orange light, so orange is between red and yellow, makes sense.

If I mix yellow light with blue light I get green light, so green is between yellow and blue, makes sense.

If I mix blue light with red light I get violet, so violet is between.... Wait what the fuck?

Can science explain why there is a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow?

Red is the one on the top, violet is the one on the bottom.
