Making a rocket with the chemistry class from a rocket kit that uses baking soda and vinegar, but we want something with a bit more... oomf. Any ideas for two reagents that will react to give a high volume of gas with a low heat output (we don't want to melt the bottle :P)
At the moment I was thinking of dry ice, but can't think of what will convert it to it's gaseous form spontaneously without too much heat given off.

Hey /sci/ my chemistry teacher is leaving soon, and our class wants to get her a present. Together we could rustle together about £100, but it kinda needs to be soon. Any ideaaas?
