A democratic candidate wouldn't have immediately downplay the threat, cut CDC spending from previous years, axe a federal oversight team built for shit like this and reduce funding to healthcare.

You might say that hindsight is 2020 (no pun intended) but we have had at least four outbreaks in the last 20 years. Dr. Fauci even warned about a pandemic being next in 2017.

It didn't have to come to this. Trump and Republicans could have avoided most this if they listened. Instead now they're fucked and have to call Fauci in to clean up the mess. A Democrat would have heeded the warning and prepared while Republicans would have called it wasteful spending.
