Just did the math and the hypothetical nuclear reactions it could be. Even if you can get past the words "cold fusion" a little bit of investigation shows that it's bullshit... The only viable reaction transmuting Nickel into Copper with Hydrogen would have to be done by fusing deuterium. For them to measure that much energy output, it would have to be enriched deuterium (which is expensive and sort of hard to come by). Even then, they'd be producing normal hydrogen as a by product. BTW, I'm a nuclear engineer, just for some background.
