People who let definitions shape their world view, actions and behavior are silly. Don't forget that definitions and meanings were assigned to words by man, i.e. - definitions are arbitrary and mean (or should mean) nothing in the practical sense.

In other words, you shouldn't give a shit whether X is to be categorized and defined as Y or not. What you should care about is whether you're interested in it, whether you can profit and live by studying it etc'.
