>He's right, School is beneficial in many ways but also can kill the mind. I did 5 years of Chemical engineering, sure I learned a few things, but in all honesty. It killed the mind in creating new concepts and ideas. The way courses are designed structures your thought process in a very linear manner. You're just spoon fed. Rather then getting a feel of theory and how things work, you just memorize equations and process. Action, reaction. Works for some people that's how their mind stores information. For others... it can be a struggle. Did you know the IQ test was initially used to deem whether you were mentally handicapped. Yet, we use it as a gauge to determine intelligence? Not saying this guy isn't smart, just saying our views of intelligence is not so much developing new and innovative ideas as much as its...can we remember and recite the discoveries of people past.....
