Ok how many of you fuckers are actually in MIT? And how hard did you study to get in?

I'm going to be having an interview with an MIT alum tomorrow as a part of my application.

I'm prepared, but I'm just curious if any of you have some insight into what MIT looks for in particular.

My biggest weakness is probably my lack of any serious creative hobbies (I dance, sing, write and play the piano, but not to any major extent.) How should I address this?

Hey /sci/entists, I am wanting to try to get into MIT, but I feel like it is too late, as im out of high school, and I only got C through out my classes, and just wondering if I can still get into MIT after graduating from high school, and if so, how would I go about that?

I was watching an MIT video series the other day and I was kind of surprised at the grade distribution for one of the courses I was following.

The course was something like a 3rd year semiconductor course. The bell curve for the grades was pretty much centered around the 60% mark. There were a large number of students currently failing the course, and there were a few outliers with insane averages.

I would not expect MIT students to fail courses. I understand that MIT material is different, but ffs, engineering is engineering. The material seems pretty much exactly the same at my school.

Anyone care to explain this? Probably aren't any MIT students here, but whatevs.

Hey guys I am a "newfag"? and I was wondering if there were any MIT Grads here. ( I realize this is a long shot) If you are one, please could you see if I have a chance of getting into it? I have pretty modest qualifications for MIT so don't hate too much.
