I would take neuralink if I could make it at home. I don't trust Elon Musk, the government or anybody else with that much agency over me to the extent of allowing THEM to manipulate MY brain. If I could do it myself though, I would definitely do it. Of course, docs would implant it, but the chip itself is what I'm talking about. I wouldn't buy it from anybody else. ever.

Too many words tardo, but good read nevertheless. I agree, so I'll summarize for the anons instead of just rewriting the same thing.
tldr
>When you have imperfect ideas and practices, they change and are replaced often with better ideas and practices. Once you get it right though, they tend to not change as much. Because it's already correct, there is nothing better to replace it with
>Individual contributions have largely been exhausted in Physics. That's just all. The mine has entirely been mined. The fruit has all been picked.
See, if you wrote just this, would have been a 9.5/10 post. Still, 6/10 for the good content anyways. But lobotomize how you express it a bit.

Yes
>Walter Freeman coined the term "surgically induced childhood" and used it constantly to refer to the results of lobotomy
You know what you need to do anon.

Ok. Now I'm going to insert that thing into your brain and stir it. Don't be afraid, trust the science bro. You see? I'm a scientist. I know what I'm doing.

If I were diagnosed with a terminal illness, the final point on my bucket list would be getting a lobotomy. That, or some other sort of heavily-mind-altering surgery.
I am endlessly fascinated by what happens, internally, to a human who's damaged like that. Would I simply lose all desires and needs? Or would "I" instead feel trapped in my own body, as it acts on its own? Which part of my consciousness would "I" be?
