Synthetic biology is pretty far away right now. Maybe 2 decades or more. Perhaps we'll have organs by 2050.
We might also have external artificial wombs by this time.
However, what if we wanted to implant wombs into male bodies? How would it work?
I think there would be organ rejection at first because it's not possible to grow a womb with DNA that's XY is there? Is there any research on if sexual organs require XX or XY at all costs? If we could grow a womb with the male persons DNA then it could be safely implanted. I wonder how egg cells would be placed in there so they could be fertilized by sperm. IVF would maybe be the way.
