Looking at a downward trend in cases from the last century and concluding that vaccination was never needed is laughably stupid. A virus won't just "go away" if we just lay down and let the epidemic fizzle out. Measles is one such disease. Are you suggesting the entire pop. become naive after several generations and stick to preventative care to fight disease transmission?
