I'm very afraid because there is a chance that someone will cure aging in our lifetime and then another one will torture us forever and regrow our organs when they are not functioning well because of torture just to induce fear in the heart of his enemies!
How to deal with this?

Brainlet here, Why did Aubrey de Gay go from computer science to biology, Couldn't he develop a better AI magic thing to cure aging?

What is the evolutionary advantage of aging? If someone lives longer he will have more offspring and thus evolution should make us live longer, Why isn't that happening? Is evolution wrong?

Many people are already negative towards life extension already. They already think that it will never reach them, that is pointless and death is inevitable anyways. The general population will never embrace longevity if it is painted as something unfeasible in their lifetimes (you don't know that, no one does, neither if it will come sooner or later), but I see an extreme caution around here in many posts that are extremely pessimistic. Caution is good, but there is caution and there is hopelessness. Religion seems to have an answer for all the hopelessness of the world, as it did since the beginnings of humanity, and will keep having because physical death will always be a possibility. God is protection. I don't wanna bash religion, but you don't see the same skepticism toward religion flourish, and today the term 'edgy atheist' is commonplace on the internet. Which is more likely, that humanity eventually solves aging at some point, or that the religion that you chose, say, huh, judaism, is the correct one, and that god comes back to Earth before aging is solved? You might say that it is unrelated, which would be a lie, it can only be unrelated to a religion that never spoke about death. To any religion that speaks about death it is related. Never underestimate the power of faith (the faith that empowers action, raw faith, not shaky faith that depends on a time-table that life extension must come at x date else I won't contribute, but the faith that it WILL come a some point, and thus I will contribute how I can, and that is more than enough) is something that I learned. To recap, I am not talking about any prediction, because predictions are almost always incorrect, but just the faith that empowers action.
