Since there seems to be a large majority in /sci/ who are ignorant of anthropogenic climate change and a very vocal denialist minority, here's a good article on the general points:

Unfortunately the denialist side also lacks the required understanding of the science, evidenced by the many times they post links to articles that they THINK disprove AGW, while they do no such thing.

As was to be seen in this thread for example.

And like I said, what bullshitters say in /sci/ hardly matters. The people to whom it might matter here are able to tell science from bullshit and the people who can't, don't matter.
